Space Plans and Interior Design (SIN 712-4)

Our experienced space planners will create a plan that fits all the client’s needs into the most difficult sites while providing a layout that supports the client’s workflow. First, we will provide a program, Program of Requirements (POR), to define the space needs and organization. This document can be as simple as a statistical list or detailed for a GSA Space Acquisition. We will define the spatial needs by size, quantity and quality, using criteria developed from discussion with the client.

We will survey the project area, ensuring the plan will fit all the client’s needs. The survey will discover potential construction issues that will be resolved during the plan development.

The furniture plans will show all furniture, equipment and accessories planned. The plans will include “typical workspaces” allowing the client agency to submit the plans for bids from GSA furniture vendors. Should the client need installation drawings and procurement specifications, we can provide those too.

The plans are complete when the design intent drawings provide the client with the extent of the alterations needed. These drawings will include the new construction work, telephone, electrical and data plans, reflected ceiling plans and construction details necessary to convey the intent of the design and extent of the work.

We will include under this part of the work:

  • Programming, POR Reporting
  • Inventories
  • Typical Workstation/Workspace Plans
  • Site Surveys and As-Built Drawings
  • Test-Fits
  • Space Planning
  • Generic Furniture Layouts or Vendor Specific Furniture Layouts
  • Furnishings Specifications
  • Procurement/Bid Documents
  • Bid Reviews, Analysis and Recommendations
  • Market Surveys
